Meet Steve and Jane*
Steve and Jane are a couple with no kids and no immediate plans to have any. They’ve just bought their first home, a fixer-upper they are slowly renovating with help from family and mates. As professionals, they earn good money and are independent thinkers (who still get a bit of help from Dad) and aim to pay off their mortgage within 10 or 15 years. Steve and Jane aren’t really interested in an investment just now as they settle into their home and new financial obligations.
